The site will reopen to the public on Saturday, and Littlehampton and Bognor will open every day for the rest of the week.
There is still significant steam arising from the pile which may be visible close to the site The residual waste remaining after the fire will be left to cool for a minimum of 24 hours before moving
Smoke has affected parts of Chichester overnight and is still detectable. This will disperse as the wind increases.
There is still no indication of the cause of the fire, CCTV evidence has not shown anything that might assist with this. The amount of waste involved has now been re-estimated at around 80 Tonnes
